
Digital Outfit for Tova the Robot
An international design competition initiated by Brand Unit, Emily Genatowski and The Fabricant for fashion designers, digital artists, art directors, fashion photographers, and creators.
Call for Entries
1. Target Group and Eligibility
This open call is aimed at international fashion designers, art directors, fashion photographers, digital artists, and creative minds across disciplines who are passionate about fashion, technology and visionary design concepts.
Submissions are welcome from individuals or collectives of any nationality and professional background.

The competition is initiated and organized by Brand Unit, Emily Genatowski, and The Fabricant.
3. Competition Brief
We are looking for an original digital outfit design for the humanoid robot Tova – a Unitree Bipedal Humanoid Robot, Model G1 EDU 1.The design should creatively respond to Tova’s anthropomorphic form and explore new narratives in digital fashion, merging aesthetics, innovation, and future-thinking. The designs will be judged by originality, future-thinking aesthetics and capturing of Tova’s identity and functional needs.
4. How To Participate

4.2. Start from your imagination
Upload your unique design sketch—hand-drawn, digital illustration or wireframes, 3D designs - your fashion vision for Tova begins here.
4.3. Add some inspiration
Upload a reference image to guide your material choices, colors, and textures. Let your aesthetic speak.
4.4. Refine the creations
Use advanced settings and prompts to give it more direction and add your own twist.
4.5. Submit your original work
Submit only new creations, but feel free to enter multiple scenes. Download your final submission and e- mail it to: xx@xxx
4.6. Amplify your voice
Showcase your work by sharing it across social media. Use the tags: # @thefabricant @tovatherobot @brand_unit to ensure the world sees it!

5. Jury and Presentation
The winning outfit will be selected by an expert international jury consisting of:

The winning design will be presented at a special event on September 12, 2025, at the designforum Vienna.

The winner will receive an extensive media package including:
International exposure through the social media channels of all participating organizations
Strategic PR support through professional press outreach
Featured publications on relevant creative platforms
A full year Pro subscription for The Fabricant Intelligent Tools

By participating, all creators agree to the public promotion of their digital design outfit as part of the campaign.
The goal is to eventually transform the digital design into a physical, wearable garment. While funding for this production is currently being secured, there is no binding obligation for physical realization at this stage.

TERMS &CONDITIONS
● Participants are requested to use his/her personal e-mail address and will therefore refrain from entering the contest with an email address owned by or representative of a third party.
● Winners and participants retain all Intellectual Property rights as per the Creative Commons - Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0) mentioned above.
● The prize is non-transferable. Winner will receive the cash prize in euros, excluding any bank transfer or exchange rate, as applicable.
● In regards to personal data that participants share with The Fabricant, Brand Unit and Emily Kate during the competition including name, surname, email address, this data is collected, processed and used by The three Organizers solely for the purpose of carrying out and processing the competition. Unless otherwise agreed, the data will be deleted within 30 days after the competition has been completed. The participants reserves the right to ask for deletion of his/her personal information at any time during the competition, although this may result in the participants inability to participate in the competition.
● Winner and entries may be required to take part in any publicity resulting from this competition.
● The winner will be contacted via email by 1st September, 2025. Winner will be notified by email, confirming the winner, within up to 5 days after the Closing Date. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during the specified time. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, The Organizer reserves the right to re-draw another winner from the valid entries that were received before the Closing Date.
